Skiing was so good…

February 27, 2008

rob_n_grampy.jpg       I had a chance to ski last week(there was still Bonus Time available). These happy faces could be yours! (but they belong to my granddaughter and me!) Be sure to get out and visit NH with the best snow in years!

A New Exchange Section for the Fun o’ Meter

February 27, 2008

Recently we introduced the Fun o Meter. This allows members and guests alike to calculate the points needed for vacations of all types. Members can check the points required to vacation at our resorts, use Playtime Points, purchase Bonus Weeks, book Destinnation Resorts and now check the points needed to exchange with Interval International. The new section, titled “Interval International List” will show members how many points are required for exchanges with Interval. While we couldn’t list all destinations we call these “Sample Exchange Values”. They list the points required for exchanging in each unit size and season. This will give members an opportunity to see just how many points will be needed for exchanges. We list both flex change (within 59 days) and full value exchange values for all unit types.

March Madness Sale!

February 25, 2008

March is almost here. Spring is around the corner and the skiing is still great. (I was at Loon last week and the conditions were super and the lift lines not very long.) In order celebrate the best conditions in years or to just give you a reason to get out of the house the Club is offering the following March promotions on reservations using Points.

For any two (2) night Points reservation (Sunday – Thursday) we’ll take 50% off the point value of your second night.

For any three (3) night Points reservation we will give you the third night free! That’s right, free! No Points required! We will provide the night that costs the least as the complimentary night.

These offers are for Points reservations only and are based on availability. Week ends will fill up quickly so act fast! Existing reservations are not eligible for this promotion.

GO ON VACATION!

February 15, 2008

That’s an order! I’ve just come back from Lincoln and there is more snow than I’ve seen in 3 years on the ground! The mountains are in great shape and not too crowded. We have rooms ready and waiting for you! Go on Vacation.

Cape Cod and Ogunquit have plenty of rooms just waiting for you. The indoor pools are warm, the restaurants are open and hoping for customers. Get a book, or a friend, or your checkbook for shopping but most of all GET OUT OF THE HOUSE and use your points!

Travelinfool on vacation

February 15, 2008

I was lucky enough to spend the last week of January on the friendly island of St. Martin. The weather was great the entire week. We had just one brief downpour all week, of course that was while we were sailing! The island is half french and half dutch. The shopping on the dutch side is great while the food on french side is magnifique! There are more michelin rated restaurants on the french side of the island than any other place in world. The dutch side is trying to catch up with restaurants and it has many good ones but I prefer the french food. We sailed on the 60 foot Heineken catamaran to Anguilla where we swam and had lunch. It was a rough ride over with heavy seas and a quick ride back as the wind was behind us. The boat holds up to 40 people, the crew were fun and drinks were plentiful. Anguilla is a small island approximately 75 minutes away. It has one of the Best Beaches in the world, as voted by Caribbean Trave and Life Magazie.  The beach and snorkeling were fantastic.

St. Martin is a timeshare paradise. There are more than 12 large timeshare resorts on the island with the Pelican and Royal Islander being the best known and perhaps the largest. There is also Flamingo Beach and Royal Palm and the Towers at Mullet Bay. All of those are nice and there are more under construction! The people are generally very friendly and like a growing number of caribbean islands, the traffic is terrible! All the major airlines fly there and if you are from the Northeast, expect to see someone you know! We met neighbors as well as another 50 people from Cape Cod. (and that was without going to the clothing optional beaches!)

The island is fun, friendly and even has one golf course. It won’t be used for a PGA event in the near future, but it’s still golf, so how bad can it be.

Ticketmaster comes to the Club!

February 7, 2008

That’s right, Ticketmaster! We’ve just formed an alliance with Ticketmaster to offer great discounts to shows, concerts, sporting events, etc to our members. The discounts will vary by event but we’ve been assured we’ll be given great rates whenever possible.

Watch the website for the link to Ticketmaster. It should be there very soon. Just click and shop for event tickets. It is as easy as that. Coming soon you’ll see special promotions from Ticketmaster. By Summer I hope to be able to offer them to Club members for Points, instead of cash. Right now Ticketmaster requires credit card purchasing but I hope you find the discounts worthwhile.

 How’s that for cool stuff???

Introducing INNstant Exchange

February 7, 2008

In an effort to entice more club members to vacation at the Liki Tiki in Orlando and The Cove at Ormond Beach resorts through our system we’ve created our own INNstant exchange program. When reserving weeks at the Club Navigo resorts, if you book within 59 days of arrival we lower the number of points required for the vacation. For example if the week previously required 110,000 points, within 59 days it would require only 90,000 points. If the week required 90,000 points it would lower to 65,000 points within 59 days of arrival! We hope this will help members use their points at these great resorts WITHOUT PAYING AN EXCHANGE FEE!

Vacation Club Class Scheduled for March

February 7, 2008

The next Vacation Club class will be held on Saturday March 29 at 9 AM in Falmouth, MA. We have yet to choose a location for the meeting, as that will depend on the group size. We seem to have outgrown the small meeting room at the Captains Quarters resort so we are looking at other options. Once we decide we’ll post it here in the Blog as well as on the website.
