Harbor Ridge Resort – Member Comments

October 8, 2008

The below is an excerpt from an email received from an owner regarding Harbor Ridge Resort in Southwest Harbor Maine.

“We wanted to share our thoughts about our timeshare experience at Harbor Ridge Resort in Southwest Harbor, Maine.  It is an incredible resort that features many amenities geared to all ages, plus the resort is close to many of the areas attractions.

Our two bedroom unit was tastefully decorated. We have no complaints about the housekeeping or cleanliness of our unit or the resort itself.  I would however caution people with physical limitations that the townhouse sleeping arrangements involved a living room sofa bed, but the bathroom on that floor did not have a shower or tub. We would suggest contacting the resort to see whether other units were more handicap friendly.
The staff were personable and professional while they were quite knowledgeable about the area.
We had a wonderful time at this resort.” …

Stonewall Kitchen Added to Playtime Points

October 8, 2008

The Stonewall Kitchen Store in York, Maine, offers all sorts of culinary delights. Customers enjoy choosing from a plethora of handmade jams and jellies (my favorite is Wild Maine Blueberry), appetizer spreads and specialty cooking items. The store is just minutes from the Falls at Ogunquit on Rte 1 and includes retail items, a deli counter with wonderful soups, sandwiches and deserts and a new cooking school. The InnSeason Vacation Club is pleased to announce that we now are able to offer Playtime Points certificates redeemable either for products in the retail store, or toward a cooking class at the Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School.

Please visit http://www.stonewallkitchen.com/ for information about the Stonewall Kitchen’s wonderful products, and http://www.stonewallkitchen.com/swk_store_york.aspx for information regarding the location in York, ME.

Certificates are available in the following denominations:

            $50.00              9,000 points

            $75.00              13,500 points

           $100.00             18,000 points

For a limited time, just by presenting a Playtime Points certificate when registering for a cooking class, the guest will automatically receive $15.00 off the price of the class! For example, if someone is looking to sign up for a $65.00 class, the guest would need to only present a $50.00 certificate.

Please see http://www.stonewallkitchen.com//school/swk_index.asp?WT.mc_id=cookingschool for more information on the school itself and to see the class schedule and pricing for each class.

New Hampshire’s Finest Season

October 2, 2008

Now is the time to visit New Hampshire. For all of the reasons we live in New England Fall is tops on my list. The leaves are just changing, the air is crisp and clean and most of the visitors have gone home. Except for all those bus tours, it’s a lovely time of year. You can track the New Hampshire foliage on the state’s foliage report . So, if you can escape for a few hours or a few days, it’s worth the trip. Remember that owners can go to Pollard Brook or South Mountain resorts and just spend the day enjoying the weather and the views.
