A Cape Cod Autumn Visit

Everyone knows that Cape Cod is the a vacation hotspot in the Summer.  But, not everyone knows that September and October are really the best months to visit the Cape.  The weather is still perfectly warm, the water isn’t too bad either.  The crowds have left and you can explore without feeling crowded.

InnSeason Vacation Club has three resorts located in Falmouth: InnSeason Resorts HarborWalk, InnSeason Resorts Captain’s Quarters, and InnSeason Resorts Surfside.  In addition to those resorts, there are also the DestINNation resorts, Sea Mist, Cape Cod Holiday Estates, the Cove at Yarmouth, and Riverview Resort.  No matter which resort you choose to stay at, the Cape is the perfect spot for a Fall vacation!
Falmouth is in the Upper Cape region and offers many great opportunities to discover what makes Cape Cod so special.  With a rich tradition in the arts, there are many wonderful art galleries to visit, filled with local artist renditions of landscapes, landmarks, and other works inspired by the surrounding beauty. Drive anywhere on Cape Cod, really, and you’ll find art galleries full of original artwork.  Route 6A is a great drive for art galleries as well as antique shops.  Stop by all of them, explore, and make a day of it!  You just might leave with a beautiful souvenir of your trip to the Cape!

Falmouth is also famous for having one of the most picturesque Main Streets in all of New England.  Yes, that may be a little biased, but you should come and see it for yourself.  Featuring stylish clothing boutiques, fantastic dining options, and stores full of one-of-a-kind items, Main Street, Falmouth is the perfect way to spend a warm Autumn day.  Be sure to stop by Ghelfi’s candy and try some of their delicious fudge.  Or walk all the way to the end, past the Village Green, and sip a nice warm coffee at Coffee Obsession!  Hyannis, Dennis, Chatham, and Provincetown also have some amazing Main Street charm.  The Fall season is ideal for making that drive from Falmouth up the Cape to explore these other wonderful towns because there is not nearly as much traffic which means, you’ll have more to enjoy!
